Adidas - In or Out?
When it comes down to it, Adidas is a brand that you may have indecisive feelings toward. However, they're on the up and up. They are becoming more common and more seen for streetwear. The brand has definitely taken fashion and our closets by storm, but I don't think their social media presence is quite as strong yet.
Adidas seems to focus more on their product and the celebrities that are a part of their brand like Kanye West. On the Twitter account for Adidas (https://twitter.com/adidas), you'll see ads for shoe releases and videos of athletes or celebrities, but there isn't anything that just draws you in. There isn't a video where anyone can just watch and instantly relate to. There's nothing telling me why I should buy it or anything that grabs my attention like "Hey wear our stuff because we support the same things you do."
Don't get me wrong, it doesn't hurt to have famous people bring attention to the brand. But besides just having items people want to buy, you want to be a brand that consumers are willing to buy no matter what.
I think Adidas can take more of a motivating standpoint on social media. Be more eye-catching, inspiring, and body positive. Be the change that people want to see in themselves.
